Tentador Racing's partnership with Race Lab stepped up to the mighty McLaren 720S GT3 EVO and travelled to the world renowned Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi to compete in the Hankook 6HR endurance race in the GT3 Pro/Am class against top international teams and walked away with another podium finish!
Tentador Tequila Racing's partnership with RACELAB added some 24H series hardware to the trophy shelf with this remarkable finish.
After speedy British driver, Lucky Khera, set a strong pace to start the race, the team was set back due to a tire puncture that resulted in an additional pit stop the seemingly left the podium out of reach. Lucky continued his pace, however, and handed off to American driver, Thomas Surgent, who, despite this being his first GT3 weekend and first time at Yas Marina, advanced up the field over approximately 18 spots in his lengthy stint of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, all the while in a reduced power engine map to conserve fuel. Surgent then handed off to champion McLaren driver, Euan Hankey, from the United Kingdom who wowed the crowd with successive fastest laps of the race to get the team back to podium contention. The podium was then sealed by James Kell who came close to matching Euan's blazing pace.
